- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆This Post Office is hit or miss . The counter staff are usually friendly and helpful. However the staff in the back who assist with picking up "held mail" or packages that need to be signed for are usually more painful. First, they never answer the door bell and the counter staff won't go find someone. I've waited as long as 10 minutes for someone to answer the door. The smaller, Asian woman is hard to understand, pushy and not kind. They photocopied my license once before and that's scary too. I wish there were other options for mail holds here in Palatine.By M Reaves, September 26, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Truly the worst post office I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Seriously. Every time my FedEx tracking updates to "will be delivered by post office" I roll my eyes and sigh heavily. It'll sit at Palatine for DAYS, then be updated to "Out for Delivery"... Only it won't get delivered. This literally happened today. After sitting at the post office for 4 business days, a package of mine went out for delivery this morning. I have to ship larger packages to my apartment complex's leasing center, which closes at 6. Did it arrive by 6? Of course not. I got a tracking notification at nearly 7:30pm (2 hours after the post office closes) saying an exception occurred because they tried to deliver it and the business was closed. So now I have to call the post office to pick up my package or reschedule delivery. This is just one of the SEVERAL times this has happened. I haven't even lived in Palatine a full year and I've had more packages lost, damaged, mis-delivered, or just not delivered at all than I have in the entirety of my life.
