  I worked with BIK & Co for my small business. Unfortunately during the process I felt wary of what the price might turn out to be since our taxes seemed somewhat complicated. I needed to know if the original price estimated was on track with the amount of work being done for us. I was assured over the phone (stupid me, not emailing) that they would contact me if the quote was getting away from the original estimate. I was never informed until a month late (through a bill) that the cost was 3x as much as the original estimate. Furthermore when I brought it to the BIK's attention, there was no apology whatsoever. They lowered the price a tad for me to 2.5x the original estimate, but for me the problem was the lack of communication in such an important matter. As a small business owner, I need to budget my cash well, and I felt no sense of personal care from this accounting firm. Neither Heidi (our accountant) nor Dave (her supervisor) seemed to care about keeping our business during this entire transaction. All this being said - the actual accounting work was outstanding. Most likely, I just experienced a fluke thing from this company. My experience was most likely not a frequent one.
